When he is invited by his new friend David to come on a trip to Wales in search of half-forgotten history, Jonathan doesn't expect them to find much. Certainly nothing to do with his own area of expertise, the Roman cult of Mithras. But the friends soon discover that for the people of Llanselyf, history is anything but forgotten, and that they are not the only ones who are interested in the mysteries of the village.
