Sandra Brown is geboren en getogen in Texas. Ze was model, actrice en tv-presentatrice voor ze in 1981 als schrijfster debuteerde. Inmiddels staat haar naam synoniem voor romantische spanning. In 2008 werd ze door de International Thriller Writers uitgeroepen tot Thriller Master.
