Lewis Carroll

Lewis Carroll is het pseudoniem van Charles Lutwidge Dodgson (1832-1892), schrijver, wiskundige, geestelijke, fotograaf, en uitvinder van het stofomslag. Hoewel de Alice-boeken hem rijk maakten, bleef hij tot aan zijn dood lector wiskunde aan Church College, Oxford. Zijn werk blijft nieuwe generaties vermaken en verbazen.

Finally, for true Alice fans, an illustrated copy of Alice’s Adventures Under Ground, the shorter, original Alice in Wonderland manuscript, wraps up the collection. Carroll originally wrote Alice's Adventures Under Ground for his friends and family before they encouraged him to expand the story and send it to a publisher where it then became Alice's Adventures in Wonderland.
