- Niet evenwichtig
Oppenheimer de "vader" van de atoombom. Had hier dan ook de meeste aandacht voor verwacht maar er wordt veel aandacht besteed aan zijn omgang met (vermeende) communisten en zijn eigen socialistische opvattingen wat ertoe leidde dat tijdens de heksenjacht op communisten in de USA hij onder verdenking komt. Net als nu was er in de jaren 50 een irrationele opgeblazen angst voor Rusland. Interessant, goede research en vlot leesbaar.
