Carl Morck van departement Q is weer zo'n personage waar je wat mee hebt. Met zijn entourage is al evenmin iets mis. Het verhaal ontvouwt zich moeite- en naadloos. Het is ook wel geloofwaardig.
In Disgrace liggen de voetsporen voor de vervolgverhalen al besloten, een veelbelovend vervolg op het eerste deel Mercy. Nordic Noir is een goede aanduiding voor het soort boek, het aardige is dat het verhaal in zijn geheel klopt en ook iets eigens heeft.
