Zoals alle verhalen van deze schrijfster: soms wat onsamenhangend en met iets te veel onderwerpen, maar op het einde gaat het altijd over mensen (familie) en hun verhoudingen tot elkaar. A short history of tractors in Ukranian is het beste boek, maar deze leest ook prima weg.
