Thomas Keneally

Thomas Keneally werd in 1935 in Sydney, Australië geboren. Hij ging naar verschillende scholen aan de noordkust van New South Wales voor hij theologie ging studeren om een katholieke priester te worden. Hij besloot uiteindelijk toch geen priester te worden en ging administratief werk doen en werd leraar tot hij in 1964 zijn eerste roman publiceerde. Sindsdien is hij fulltime schrijver en geeft soms lessen als gastdocent aan de universiteit. Zijn bestseller Schindlers Lijst (Schindler's List) is verfilmd door Stephen Spielberg en werd bekroond met vier Oscars.
