It is a good bet your own pulse will race as the author takes you along on some of the greatest highlights of his forty year career. Laugh along at rollicking youth, stare eye-ball to eye-ball from a ground blind and at full draw on an imposing black bear, endure frustrations that ultimately lead to grand victories, and finally, as age becomes a factor, sit alongside some fallen animals to quietly contemplate your own role in the circumstances presented to all living things.Why it is called Beyond The Shot will sift clear, and it is in fact a book written to defy suggestions that most hunters are not interested in the cerebral or heartfelt nature of what we do.
