The book describes the National parks in Kenia and Tanzania with the animals in it, and has additional a section in which the mammals and birds are described. Parks and animals have cross references to each other. Scientific names however are lacking (making it difficult finding names for non-english speaking users) and the index is extremely poor: mainly references to the first section are given. Animal descriptions sometimes refer to species, sometimes to families or even genus (half page for all Snakes) which is confusing. So for a park guide it will do, but for even a simple mammal- and bird guide a far better index would be required plus a more systematic description of each animal species. Who adds this animal part of the index??

Perfect boek voor als je naar Oost Afrika gaat. Per wildpark wordt informatie gegeven over welke dieren daar te zien zijn en je kunt ook per diersoort kijken in welke parken ze leven. Volgens mij worden alle dieren besproken. Allemaal op een overzichtelijke manier. Andere boeken heb je niet meer nodig!
