The Aero Technium MgS is widely regarded as the ultimate Big Pit reel. It is a unique reel of its kind, made from the latest, ground-breaking technology from Shimano when it comes to casting distance. The list of features of this reel is remarkable: every element of available Shimano technology has been used.
A Hagane body, Magnesium frame makes it incredibly light yet incredibly strong. Hagane (cold forged) sprocket for maximum strength, infinite drive and silent drive for more winding power, smoothness and durability and a one-piece bracket in titanium to always guide the line to the reel and optimise the strength of the bracket.
The most striking feature is a 45 mm stoke reel with Super Slow 10 line lay system that lays 107 line wraps per oscillation to achieve a perfect linear launch, reach greater distances and cast more accurately. In addition, there is better control over all the force exerted during a cast. In one sentence: the best spacer ever built.
