Overcoming Resentment

In the Bible, resentment and bitterness are negative and generally characterized by an unforgiving spirit. It states that critical attitudes, bitterness and resentment are sinful and self-defeating. Marleena Brighton is at the top of her game; head software developer, youth leader at church and in love for the very first time with a young man named Jaylin Starks. But Marleena’s life begins to unravel when love causes her to second-guess herself and make decisions outside the will of God that affects not only her life but the lives of others who are depending on her for guidance. Suddenly, she finds herself in a love-induced battle of bitterness and resentment which causes a chain reaction among her friends who think their own battles are secret. It’s not easy to destroy the root of an ugly disease that is contagious, yet unidentified for an extended period of time. Each one of Marleena’s friends has a Pandora box, waiting to be opened and contents destroyed so they can truly come to the one thing that would triumph over everything: LOVE.
