Lisa Thompson is geboren in Essux, Engeland, op 5 mei 1973. Haar debuut, De Goudvisjongen, werd in Engeland voor vele prijzen genomineerd, waaronder de Carnegie Medal, The Branford Boase Award en de Waterstones Children’s Book Prize. In Nederland kreeg ze in 2018 een Vlag en Wimpel toegekend. Haar boeken worden in 9 landen vertaald. Lisa Thompons tweede boek, The Light Jar, verscheen in april 2018. In Nederland is deze vertaald als De Nachtlantaarn.

Cory is coming to dread having the Sunday Scaries. The kids at school are picking on him because of his cheesy daytime TV presenter father and he's struggling with lessons. Ahead of a Monday comprising a maths test and another lonely lunchbreak, Cory wishes that the weekend would never end... and when he wakes up the next day, time has reset itself to Sunday morning.
