Dit boek berust op een misverstand, namelijk dat nieuwelingen op een overlocker en een coverlocker ook beginnende naaiers of naaisters zijn. Overlockers en coverlockers zijn kostbare machines die maar een ding kunnen: zomen afwerken en zomen maken. Die koop je pas als je zoveel naaiervaring hebt dat je je projecten naar een hoger plan wilt tillen.
Dit boek bevat voor de helft informatie die je ook in de handleiding bij je machine kunt vinden, en voor de andere helft projecten die veel te simpel zijn voor de ervaren naaier of naaister. Bovendien gaan de bijgeleverde patronen (van zeer simpele t-shirtjes) maar tot maat 38. Alsof beginnende naaisters allemaal jonge meiden zijn. Ook dat is een misverstand.
Tot slot zijn de foto’s in dit boek ook nog klein afgedrukt en tamelijk onduidelijk.
