Hoewel ik al lang een liefhebber van historische thrillers/detectives ben, was deze schrijfster voor mij een onbekende. Na het lezen van dit eerste avontuur van Matthew Bartholomew, kan ik al zeggen dat ik verslaafd ben. Ga dan ook alle overige delen bestellen en lezen. Spannend en zo goed beschreven dat ik bijna kan ruiken hoe erg het stonk in het Cambrige van 1348.
