Ik heb de eerste delen van deze reeks in het Nederlands gelezen, dit maakt dat ik de personages en de rode draad doorheen de verhalen kende. Dat hielp om de serie in het Engels verder te kunnen lezen. Als je kunt leven met het idee dat iemand dode mensen kan zien en hun hulp gebruikt bij het oplossen van misdaden, en een relatie met de zoon van de duivel heeft, dan zit je goed met deze serie.
