Sir Ian Kershaw (1943) is een Brits historicus en studeerde aan de universiteiten van Liverpool en Oxford. Van 1989 tot aan zijn pensioen in 2008 doceerde hij, als professor hedendaagse geschiedenis, aan de universiteit van Sheffield. Zijn specialisatie is Hitler en nazi-Duitsland.
