Lisa Thompson

Lisa Thompson is geboren in Essux, Engeland, op 5 mei 1973. Haar debuut, De Goudvisjongen, werd in Engeland voor vele prijzen genomineerd, waaronder de Carnegie Medal, The Branford Boase Award en de Waterstones Children’s Book Prize. In Nederland kreeg ze in 2018 een Vlag en Wimpel toegekend. Haar boeken worden in 9 landen vertaald. Lisa Thompons tweede boek, The Light Jar, verscheen in april 2018. In Nederland is deze vertaald als De Nachtlantaarn.

Samenvatting

One day, in the middle of the summer holidays and in the middle of a manic episode, Todd and Laurie's dad takes them to stay in the hotel he spent most of his childhood holidays in. The hotel is a rundown dump and the disappointment means Dad takes to his bed. Todd and Laurie have the run of the place and they soon start to uncover a few secrets...
