Knap hoe Stahl van vrij moeilijke/taaie stof een begrijpelijk en interessant verhaal kan maken. Stahl beschrijft zijn verhaal vooral met behulp van plaatjes, waardoor je aandacht erbij blijft en je meteen een goed beeld krijgt hoe het werkelijk in zijn werking gaat. Wel is het vanuit de ogen van een farmacoloog geschreven waardoor je over bepaalde 'drugs' enigszins gebiased bent, aangezien hij deze drugs altijd zal aanprijzen, terwijl de werking ervan in sommige situaties niet bewezen is.
