Sally Thorne's eerste boek The Hating Game vond ik heel leuk, dus ik had hoge verwachtingen. Die werden helaas niet waargemaakt; het verhaal is voorspelbaar en clichématig en er zit nauwelijks humor in, terwijl Thorne nu juist bewezen heeft heel grappig te kunnen schrijven. Romantisch en sexy is het boek eigenlijk ook niet, daarvoor zijn de karakters te vlak en te onsympathiek. Een misser, jammer.
