A-Farming We Will Go From Hong Kong to Herefordshire

It was the malaria that did it. After too many bouts of being laid low with the disease, the doctor at the Hong Kong and Shanghai Bank told Harry his only chance of defeating the malignant bug would be to live in a cool climate and work out of doors.


Harry and Sonia had the money to do it – but should they leave the comfort of Hong Kong and become farmers?


With Sonia's brother Guy's help, they did.

This book was rediscovered twenty years after she wrote it - but it still brings back happy memories for her. It is an evocative portrait of rural life after the second world war.
