"Anne Hampton 'Annie' Potts (Nashville, 28 oktober 1952) is een Amerikaans actrice en filmproducente. Potts werd geboren in Nashville als dochter van Dorothy Harris Billingslea en Powell Grisette Potts en groeide op in Franklin. Zij heeft haar highschool doorlopen aan de Franklin-Simpson High School in Franklin. Potts heeft haar bachelor of fine arts in theaterwetenschap gehaald aan de Stephens College in Columbia. Op deze school is zij een gastdocente in drama. Potts was van 1973 tot en met 1978 getrouwd met Steven Hartley, van 1978 tot en met 1980 was zij getrouwd met Greg Antonacci en van 1981 tot en met 1989 was zij getrouwd met B. Scott Senechal met wie zij een kind heeft. Vanaf 1990 is zij getrouwd met James Hayman met wie zij twee kinderen heeft.
