Geschreven bij How to Lose a Country

Geen makkelijk boek om te lezen, veel jargon en veel moeilijke zinnen.
Maar de inhoud is super interessant, want er wordt nu eindelijke eens duidelijk uitgelegd wat de essentiële kenmerken zijn van het opkomend populisme overal in Europa (en elders). Als je doorkrijgt wat de tactieken en strategieën zijn van de populisten, dan snap je hoe je ze wel en niet moet 'aanpakken'.
Geeft me een veel helderder blik op dit fenomeen en wijst me ook op de (vaak) foute manieren waarop ik ermee omging.
Hulde aan deze dappere schrijfster, die aan den lijve heeft ondervonden wat het is om een (politiek) journalist te zijn onder Erdogan.
