Elizabeth George

Elizabeth George (Ohio, VS, 26 februari 1949) is de auteur van negentien thrillers in de Inspecteur Lynley-reeks. Daarnaast schreef ze de spannende 4-delige crossoverserie ‘Het Fluistereiland’. George begon op haar zevende al met schrijven. Na haar studie Engels en een master in psychologie werkte ze als docent Engels en als remedial teacher. Haar eerste boek, Totdat de dood ons scheidt, verscheen in 1988. Vanaf dat moment wijdde ze zich volledig haar aan schrijverschap. En met succes, want haar werk werd bekroond met talloze awards, zoals Anthony Award, de Agatha Award en Le Grand Prix de Littérature Policière. Samenvatting
