Gavin Edwards is the New York Times bestselling author of nine books, including The Tao of Bill Murray, Last Night at the Viper Room, and the wildly successful ’Scuse Me While I Kiss This Guy series of misheard-lyrics collections. Voor elke fan van River Phoenix is dit een must have; zijn leven wordt tot in detail beschreven. Het leest zeer makkelijk weg en er zitten ook mooie foto's tussen. Het boek geeft een mooi beeld van het Hollywood van de jaren '80 en begin jaren '90. Ik heb het boek met zeer veel plezier gelezen en ik raad het zeker aan.

River Phoenix was / is de meest fantastische persoon. Zijn leven wordt goed beschreven. Er zitten oa flashbacks in van sketches die hij deed, je word er instant happy van.
