Life. At the very beginning of this murder mystery we see life taken away ... The lead character and narrator of the story is killed.Thomas Timons is the one murdered, by whom and why, we don't know. Thomas had been feeling his life was in jeopardy recently, ironically at the same time as he waited for the birth of his son. What if, Thomas asked himself, I were to die soon? His son would be born into this world fatherless ...The one thing Thomas could do would be to leave the story of his life behind, the last few years, a personal testament, a confession, a protest. If he were to somehow die, then at least he would have left what he wrote for his son to read.For he knew no one else would tell the story of his soul, his life, better than himself.
