Momma's Boy Stage Play

Any patient returning to the door of Doctor Sherman Wise for a second visit is a patient in need of much assistance!In his second stage play, Colm McCormack introduces us to married couple Kevin and Christine as they struggle through the American economic downturn of 2008 - 2012. Kevin, an immigrant who has followed his American wife back to the South, arrives armed with an MBA, a can-do attitude, big dreams and assurances of numerous high paying jobs. Upon meeting him, however, we learn he is two years unemployed and grappling to come to terms with a life far below any he might have wished for. Just when it seems things cannot get any worse, his mother arrives for a visit - bringing with her an unrepentant questioning of the American Dream and much of the wisdom upon which American life is built. A timeless story - with the characters of the highly suspect Sherman, the devastated and crumbling Kevin, the struggling Christine and the razor-sharp mother - Momma’s Boy touches upon the deeply human, the dying of dreams and the fragility of hope.
