The teenage years are hard enough, but living with an abusive parent, happiness seems almost impossible. Yaz and Loni are two sisters coming of age on the mean streets of Washington, DC. Yaz is determined to go to college and become a success, but her mother is hell bent on making her a statistic. Loni, the younger sister, is looking for love.
