prachtig geschiedkundig boek met uitgebreide inleiding met bijna gehele levensbeschrijving van Andrea Palladio, de Venetiaanse architect die de inspirator was voor klassieke bouw over de hele wereld met huizen als het Witte Huis, de Rijksdag en veel bouwwerken in bv. Londen met pilaren als Griekse tempels, maar ook ons eigen Paleis op de Dam en het Mauritshuis en veel gebouwen in stad en land. Om meer over te weten te komen via 'classicisme' en 'Hollands classicisme' en onder 'Palladio'!
