Ze beschrijft haar jeugd, hoe zij en haar ouders met haar eigenaardigheden omgingen. Naar mijn mening is het boek een inspirerend naslagwerk voor iedereen die zelf autistisch is of daarmee wordt geconfronteerd in zijn of haar omgeving. Het geeft praktische tips en inzicht over hoe bepaalde situaties het best aangepakt kunnen worden zodat autistische mensen niet onnodig met moeilijkheden worden geconfronteerd.
