Jan Boon (Beverwijk, 1950) has worked, after graduating in economics for 35 years, in business as an entrepreneur, manager, director and trainer. He is the founder of a successful company for project and interim managers that has been taken over by a nationally operating consulting company after a number of years. In the book True Leadership, the author guides entrepreneurs in setting up their own business. Gerard Koolen (Amsterdam, 1961) started a factory in home furnishing accessories after the HEAO. He then worked at a market research agency for a year and then set up a company distributing shoes in Slovakia and neighboring countries. In 1996, Gerard Lugera from The People Republic started a staffing and recruitment agency which is active in seven countries. It is the second largest independent staffing company in Eastern Europe. Much is written about entrepreneurship and leadership. One theory is even more beautiful than the other. Many of these books provide the key to success. But in the daily practice of entrepreneurship is to apply all those theories success is not so easy.
