There are chapters about life at Davy-United in Sheffield and chapters about 36 countries where there were significant events. Candid portraits of colleagues and clients, anecdotes, funny stories, and jokes litter the pages, whilst in appendices, there are summaries of family background, growing up at Frinton-on-Sea, Essex, school life, life in the Army and university, a lifelong interest in New Orleans Jazz, jokes near the bone, professional activities, and recent career as organiser of over 80 concerts in Martock Church in Somerset.
