Sid Bachrach, the author of Stories of The Creation, was born on March 4th 1955, the third generation of his family that was born in the United States. After graduating from the University of Chicago in 1976 and teaching a year in Chicago he left the U.S. in 1977 to teach in Jerusalems Experimental High School.
Together with his Dutch wife, Nella van der Jagt and their first two children, Natan and Marike, he returned to Europe in 1983.
In 1984 he was one of the founders of the Dutch Peace and Cultural Center the Weyst. Among his on going tasks at the Weyst are organic gardener, baker, host and supervisor of alternative social service clients. He is a part time teacher at the Regional International School in Eindhoven, the Netherlands. Freelance Writer, Chazan Cantor, Singer and none the least father to three grown children including Asher and life partner with Nella.
Stories of The Creation is a harvest from his life long Peace and Inter-Faith Work. It is rooted in the Kabbalistic tradition of Tikun Ha Olam, the repair and healing of our World and the pursuit of social justice. These stories can serve you as a guide on your spiritual path.
