Samenvatting
Hans Christian Andersen was one of the most famous Danish authors of XIX century. He wrote plays, novels and poems but most people know him as the outstanding author of the fairy tales. His stories are very popular among people of any age and nationality. His most famous fairy tales - “The Little Mermaid”, “The Snow Queen”, “The Ugly Duckling”, “The Emperor's New Clothes” - teach us a lesson of virtue, kindness and wisdom. “The Bottle Neck” was first published in 1857. “The Bottle Neck” fairytale is a great story about unusual adventures of usual things such as a simple bottle. This story is a tale told by the bottle neck. The bottle neck related its history, which was really remarkable. It remembers how it was made in the heated stove, how it was filled with first quality wine and was opened during an engagement celebration. The bottle neck tells how a sailor took the bottle with him on a sea journey and how their ship has wrecked. The bottle traveled around the world and returned home. There the old lady takes it up and she doesn't suspect that she drank wine from this bottle on her engagement.
