Steve Tavers beckoned the flight attendant. 'I'm sorry. Did you say 'Iosuni'? Have they renamed the San Diego airport?' 'No, sir, ' she said, confused. Suddenly a look of realization crossed Hal's face. 'Iosuni Steve, we're on the wrong flight ' Steve's face flooded with rage. 'How is that possible?' It hit Nick like a train. He remembered. When he had fallen and hit his head at the airport, he must've read the wrong gate. He glanced at his boarding pass, and his suspicion was confirmed. When Nick and the Tavers family touch down in Iosuni, they arrive in Torretelgra, the capitol of Iosuni, which turns out to be an independent colony of Great Britain. Though Nick is excited for this temporary escape from the real world, the rest of the Tavers family is eager to get back home. As they wait for the next flight to the States-which won't be for another month-Nick meets a brother and sister, Aaron and Danielle, and quickly makes friends. But there's something sinister about Iosuni Island: a gang of thugs known as the Vanjaguard, who pillage and torment the citizens of Torretelgra. When Nick crosses paths with the Vanjaguard, things take a turn for the worse. Will Nick and his family find a way off the island? Or will they become the next victims of the Vanjaguard?
