    Het werk van Gaétan Soucy is vanaf het begin een fantasierijk en sterk boek. Vanaf het begin loop je rond in een enerzijds vreemde wereld en anderzijds in een oersoei boeren landhuis. De schrijfstijl van Soucy maakt dat je elke pagina met pleizer nog een keer terug leest.
    Daarnaast is het een meesterwerk om ook een filosofische ondertoon uit te dragen en ons te laten realiseren wat het effect van taal voor de mens is.
