Ik kwam het tegen voor 14,95 in de winkel. Hoe kan dat?... De uitvoering (harde kaften, zeer goed gebonden, mooi glad papier, ruim 500 bladzijden, prachtige plaatjes) op zich doet vermoeden dat je een boek van zo'n 60 euro in handen moet hebben. Als wiskundige ga je er - als je niets te doen hebt - lekker in bladeren om allerlei uitdagende wetenswaardigheden tegen te komen. Daarnaast kan je het boek ook aan niet-wiskundigen laten zien. Niet per se om ze tot wiskunde te 'bekeren' (lukt toch niet) maar om begrip te kweken voor het feit dat jij zo geobsedeerd bent door wiskunde.
