Productbeschrijving

De schitterende muziek gebruikt in Star Wars is opnieuw uitgebracht in 'Star Wars: The Ultimate Vinyl Collection' en is volledig gecomponeerd door John Williams. Deze box bevat elk van de zes films soundtracks in luxe gatefold LP sleeves, waarin het orignele artwork zoveel mogelijk intact is gebleven. Tot slot zijn een uitklapbare poster en drie stickers toegevoegd.

Daarnaast is deze box ook uitgebracht op cd in 'Star Wars: The Ultimate Soundtrack Edition'.

    Zeer fijn artikel, 11 platen (2 per film, behalve de laatste) de LP's van de originele trilogie zijn gemaakt in de oude, originele stijl. Het totaal pakket heeft daardoor geen gevoel van eenheid, iets waar ik normaal gezien wel naar kijk, maar dit stoort me bij deze niet.

    Er zit ook een poster bij en een code voor digitale downloads.

    De doos zelf heeft een matte afwerking met (in tegenstelling tot het prentje op deze pagia) enkel het star wars logo, zeer mooi.

    Her en der (hoorbaar/zichtbaar) krasjes en verkleuring/vlekjes/putjes in de platen, een enkele keer zelfs een kleine kerf. Continu noise & bijgeluiden op de achtergrond, alsof iemand bezemt of iets dergelijks. Het is geen moment stil wanneer het stil hoort te zijn of bij zachte of minimale muziekklank. Sterker nog, zelfs volle orkestklank kan bijgeluid lang niet altijd overstemmen. Het is eigenlijk geen doen, wat mij betreft. Rega RP6 platenspeler gekocht met Exact element, alles goed afgesteld, verder bij geen enkele andere plaat dergelijke problemen ondervonden. Het kan niet anders of de persing en/of fabricage moet bijzonder matig geweest zijn. Geen luisterplezier op deze manier.

    Deze set op 180 grams LP's zijn een klasse beter dan de originele LP's van destijds op dun vinyl. Deze set heeft een gedetailleerde weergave, zuivere bas partijen, de hoorn klinkt als een hoorn. De basisruis is zeer gering, daadoor draaide ik het volume eerst teveel op... toen de muziek begon: een openbaring! Qua geluid een top set. De code voor MP# downloads geeft je bijna 1 Gb aan muziek! Echter, wil je de top, dan draai je de LP's.
