A Portrait of My Father

My father was our fortress. Come hail, come storm, we felt secure and shielded against all odds in his comforting presence. He was positivity personified, and it would not be wrong to say that this force within him was aided by my mother's optimism, who always looked at the bright side of life. When life-partners are soul-mates, their home is nothing short of heaven. Who is talking about worldly gains! There are things that not all the wealth in the world can buy. I take pride in saying we had just that. Of course materialistic people may differ with my views because the present day cry is-money, money, and more money, and for good reasons too. I would not censure their outlook. However, I uphold the values handed down to us by my father and my mother too.My book comes in response to a promise i had made to myself in the year 2000 after father died. I had promised myself I would write a book about my father. I has been fourteen years since then!
