Atkins'Physical Chemistry is een uitstekend en veel gebruikt boek. De laatste druk is niet alleen inhoudelijk maar ook qua presentatie goed. Vergeleken met diverse andere (oude) uitgaven van diverse auteurs (die ik gebruikte en waar je aan gehecht raakt) is het zonder meer zeer fraai en uitstekend bruikbaar en de moeite waard. Een minpunt: de afmetingen en het gewicht maken gebruik op een bureau noodzakelijk; als pensionado wil ik nog wel eens vanuit een stoel lezen/studeren; daar is het boek dus minder geschikt voor!
