Blends to Win Phonics Based Reading Program

Research has shown that five key elements need to be present for students to learn to read. Those elements are based in phonemic awareness. At least three of the five elements are present in this reading practice booklet. Blends to Win Basic is a reading program that has been tried on nonreaders. The program is used with special needs students. Data has been collected during trials to determine the efficacy of the material. In order to teach children or students of any age to read, there needs to be daily remediation and practice provided in this booklet. The booklet is geared to provide students with practice and application with phonics. This practice can be applied as a core program or supplement any reading program that your school decides to use.The stories are entertaining, contain high frequency words, and allow for discussion and expansion of vocabulary.
