By Chance? Chemically Unbalanced

The saga of Luz Calabasas continues from the 1st Book of “By Chance?" The story of a lowly waitress who receives a winning lottery ticket from one of her dear customers who suddenly dies, but in fact, was poisoned by his wife. Nevertheless, she returns to find her husband having an affair. Depressed thinking that life has noting left to offer her she decides to take her winnings and travel to the "Kickapoo Indian Casino" and put it all on the line and just so happens to double up her lotto winnings. As she leaves the Casino and is followed home by an "evil couple," which leads her through a trail of deceit and treachery, but somehow she survives it all. But where does she go from here? Well, this second story will tell you, as she leaves the safety and security of San Antonio and heads south to the coastal basin region of South Padre Island to start a new life and a new business (the "Skinny Chicken"). Being squeezed from all sides by Big Oil, Big Wind & Big Government, and what in the hell is in the water that could be causing all these problems? As Kingsville, Texas, and its surrounding communities, transform from these small "Po-Dunk" towns into one large Metro-Plex that includes a new hi-speed metro-rail service to San Antonio, Houston, and Dallas, its new super interstate highway 69, its new airport, and its new massive "billion dollar" sea-port facility, all being built to transport the newly found Oil and the Wind generated electrical power to the nation and throughout the World. The new renamed "King City" rises up from the ground, all due to the tremendous natural resources found within the area. From "fracking" of the "black gold" by "Frac-This," Inc. Corporation, to the giant Wind powered generation facilities being constructed by the "Burp Inc." Corporation that is owned by the former horse trader, gambler, and oil wildcatter "Gee-Boone Stickums," workers swarm into the area looking to find their fame & fortune, especially from across the border, but somehow many of them seem to go missing, or vanish into thin air. Where have they gone? Where are the investigators to find out about their disappearance - the Police, the Press, the Government, Sheriff Apileof, his Deputy Frank Bruno, or his lieutenant, Krumy Keyhole? Why doesn't the Governor (i. e. Brock Berry), the Mayor (Alex Thumsooker), or any of the Civic leaders want to know what's happening, as they cut the red ribbons opening up all of the new businesses? Why the cover-up? And, what kind of harm is being done to the environment? And, what are all those flashes of lights that seem to occur frequently in the night? And finally what does Luz have to do with any of this? These issues will be explored and confronted by Luz and others but not without resistance from the powers that be and the shocking results that are revealed. Will her lawyer, Honeybee (Bee-Bee) Sioux, be able to standup to Big Oil's lawyer "Old Willy" Burnsides as she tries to save Luz's homestead from a takeover? And how does "Big Dong" from the Barker & Bailey Circus, assist the Dingo and the Ninja Turtle to uncover the biggest scandal this side of the Rio Grande?What does Professor Turdstan Hydrox III, from the University of Texas King City discover? And, what is happening 550 miles away north of the little west Texas town of Van Horn far up in the "Diablo Mountains" that has anything to do with any of this? Hopefully, the truth will finally be revealed.
