My mind’s racing through the events of my lifeMy ups, my downs, my joys and my strifeLooking at the people who love me, and the ones that don’tSeeing my goals in life, the things I need and wantMy passions, my desires, my feelings deep withinMy loves, my heats, my blessings and my sinsI can feel the strength that I’ve acquired, and my moments of purityI see it all through my third eye, the one that looks inside of meWinding through my life story, the journey to get me hereExploring my successes and failures, trusts and fearsMy insecurities I mask and the flaws in my reflectionMy constant need for acceptance, my desire for perfectionI’ve given too much of myself to try to appease othersWhether it’s parents, relationships, sisters or brothersSo life has brought me to this point, a moment of clarityStraight faced, deep in thought, no time for hilarityStaring blankly into space, can’t even see what’s aheadTotally incoherent to what’s around me in this bedMy eyes are wide open, searching left to rightBut I can’t see where I’m at, there’s no reality in sightI’m here but I’m not, in the physical senseIt’s clear but it’s not, looking through my third lensSo my mind has traveled the journey, its given me reliefTo the pains of my life, the losses and the griefTo the triumphs of my life, my perfect imperfectionsThe convergence of me living in self-satisfactionI’ve had to make the vow to be who I desire to beBecause no-one can live my life for me but meSo as I sit back and think of the joy and pain life wroughtI just let my mind wonder through my “Idle Thoughts”
