Vanessa Merriman’s life is expendable. Maybe it’s because her curiosity got the best of her. Maybe it’s the fact that she heard a friend and business associate die. But whatever the reason, Vanessa, an agoraphobic, has to flee her home and sanctuary because someone throws a bomb into it. She’s homeless, she’s scared; and to top it off, someone has threatened her life again. But this wasn’t a written threat. It wasn’t even verbal. It was mental. Someone with abilities that should not be humanly possible wants to claim what is left of Vanessa’s dismal life. Pathetic or not, Vanessa is not going to forfeit her life without a fight. But not sure how she can even defend herself, she seeks the assistance of an ill-reputed psychiatrist who agrees to help Vanessa progress physically and mentally. But the psychiatrist has plans of her own that involve experimentation and manipulation. Unwittingly, Vanessa’s mind is altered in a way she never believed possible. And it both excites and angers her.
