Geweldig concert, met hele goede band (praktisch oude bezetting), ouderwets goed optreden van Billy, mooie stadionbeelden en goed geluid.

Vlak voordat Shea Stadium zou worden plat gegooid, heeft Billy Joel nog een laatste -dit - concert gegeven. Het is genieten, deze dvd.
Van begin tot eind gevuld met prachtige nummers. Deze man is performer in hart en nieren.Het concert is haarscherp gefilmd - zo'n kwaliteit zie je maar zelden.
Begin van het concert denderd door je kamer heen (zie trailer hieronder). Topper is ook Goodnight Saigon en de Piano Man, waar het publiek het gehele nummer mee zingt.

Je kunt dit optreden van verschillende kanten benaderen, puur muziek technisch denk ik niet dat dit het mooiste is wat Billy Joel heeft afgeleverd. Maar na 40 jaar zanger entertainer en party annimal kun je dat ook niet verwachten ;) Ik vond het een leuk optreden met aardige gasten en af en toe hele mooie nummers. Een van de reviews spreekt van matig optreden. Ik ben het dan ook deels met die kritiek eens. Toch is dit concert voor de fans een aanrader. Oh ja, soms dacht ik wel, doe die microfoon iets lager maar t is maar wat je gewend bent.

goed concert, vele goede nummers,
allleen, het kan aan mij liggen, Billy is erg overheersend qua zang.
Geluid, zang en muziek had beter op elkaar afgestemd(gemixt) kunnen worden.
Andere blue rays zoals bonamassa, john legend hebben hier geen last van
