Steven Erikson
Steven Erikson was born in Canada on November 7, 1959. He is a qualified archaeologist and anthropologist and a graduate of the Iowa Writers' Workshop.
His debut fantasy novel, Gardens of the Moon, was acclaimed for its combination of originality and intelligent, strong and exciting storytelling, singling out its author as a writer destined to rank alongside Donaldson, Eddings, Gemmell, Jordan and other giants of the genre. The first in a truly epic series chronicling the ill-fated Malazan Empire, Gardens of the Moon also took the internet by storm and had fans falling over themselves to praise this brilliant debut.

Echt een geweldig boek! Steven Erikson en Ian c Esslemont hebben een prachtige wereld gemaakt en dit boek brengt je weer helemaal in het verhaal. Het vijfde boek uit de serie vindt nu plaats op een ander continent met andere personages maar ook weer zeer boeiend. Vol magie, veldslagen en humor die in de rest van de serie plaatsvind en enkele schokkende plottwists. Als je de rest van de serie goed vond dan zal je dit boek zeker goed vinden

Weer een sterke toevoeging aan de verhaallijn. Sterke verhaallijnen en meer humor dan normaal. Wil naar mijn mening soms te veel filosoferen, hier hou ik persoonlijk wat minder van.
