Years have passed since the events chronicled in Day of the Dragonand in that time Azeroth has seen upheaval such as the mage, Krasus, could not in all his centuries of existence have imagined. The Undead Scourge, the Plaguelands, none of this even an ancient dragon - for Krasus is in reality the red behemoth, Korialstrasz - could have prevented. Yet, ever protective of the world and, especially, the younger races, he continues, through both his own powers and the use of agents, to do what he can to bring, if not peace, respite.

Leuke aanvulling die je een inzicht geeft in de personages die je niet krijgt door het spel te spelen. Het is ook wel een tof boek alsj het spel niet speelt maar mogelijks dat je bepaalde details dan niet zal begrijpen.

Geschreven bij World of Warcraft
Ik ben bezig om de verhaallijn van de WoW series zo chronologisch mogelijk (met tijdreizen though) te lezen, en ben eindelijk bij dit boek aangekomen. Ik had het veel eerder moeten lezen; niet omdat de tijdlijn dat toe zou laten, maar omdat het zo'n leuk boek was om te lezen. Ik hou van de manier waarop Knaak schrijft (en Christie Golden ook), en ook hier was ik weer blij van de schrijfstijl en de woorden die werden gebruikt.

So I finally managed (after trying thrice) to finish this book. Imo it's terrible, by far the worst book I've ever read, and yes I did read 50 of shades of grey. The story is long and repetitive. It doesn't add anything of significance to the WoW lore. The characters storylines don't really blend well, his referring to characters by different names and his describing of them through their relationship to others gets confusing and annoying. There's little to no depth to any of the characters or to why they do what they do (getting caught over and over for instance). The ending was rushed which I can't fault as I was happy it was finally there. My advice, if you're like me and you want to read all the WoW books per se, go for it but be prepared. If you're looking for a good read about some interesting lore to a fun game, something that actually IS a compelling story, pick up a Christie Golden - WoW related - novel and ENJOY!
