As an adolescent, life is a rollercoaster of emotions. The author shares poems written during a time period of neverending internal turmoil, from the ages of 14 to 17. The author suffered from depression throughout adolescence, and several of the poems carry this torment and confusion. From teenage runaways, an obsession, life with a blended family, and other typical experiences adolescents survive, the author finds her words to express internal thought and confusion over such experiences. This is volume one of several to come as the author utilized writing as a coping mechanism to survive the challenges of an emotional adolescence.
