Hoewel het boek top is, krijg je niet deze cover. Heel vervelend, want ik heb de andere twee boeken in deze reeks wel in deze versie. In plaats van deze cover en de titel Porno heb ik de filmcover ontvangen, waar de titel is veranderd in "T2 Trainspotting". Jammer, bol.com.

This is possibly the funniest of Irvine Welsh' novels. This book is a sequel to Trainspotting, featuring several of the funniest/famous characters from that book 10 years later. You don't have to have read Trainspotting, or even have seen the movie for that matter, to understand this book, although it would help.

The only really drawback would be that you do get the idea that the author wrote this for fans of the movie rather than the book. The reappearing characters in P*rno are the ones that were featured in the movie. Furthermore, where Trainspotting was written largely in phonetic Scottish, in P*rno only Begbie's dialogues are written in phonetics. This might make it a much easier read but does leave you feeling that perhaps P*rno was written more a movie sequel rather than a sequel to the Trainspotting novel. Despite all this, P*rno is a great read and will leave you laughing out loud, so be prepared for awkward glances if you read this in public!
