When Emily first moved to the farming community where Brett had lived his whole life, he thought of her as just a kid who had NO idea how to act in farming country. A twerp in need of protection and guidance. A job he took upon himself to provide. As the years moved on, Emily became less and less of an outcast, and went more and more out of her way to dress provocatively and flirt relentlessly with Brett. He was pretty sure the kid was only trying to copy what she had seen some of their mutual guy pals do when trying to pick up the opposite sex… basically trying her training wheels out with him. She swore that she loved him, and he wanted to believe her, because once he had that first taste of her, he wanted more…. A LOT more.
