The Last Kinmark

"Sorat had no idea he was about to die. Few men ever do." Thus begins The Last Kinmark, a story about one of those few men. Told primarily from three viewpoints, this book is an introduction to the world of Fulorn, a place where giants and humans coexist in a tenuous struggle for supremacy. As the twin princes of the Kinmark royal family, Ahkdo and Kiv were always destined for lives of wealth and power. But when a new threat emerges in their highly traditional world, these two young men must learn to fight for their very lives and the lives of those they love while also struggling with the strict and unyielding norms which their society has cultivated for centuries. As a simple mercenary, the Hammer stands in opposition to the privileged princes of the Kinmark family. Having served his ten years in the Company, he believes the time is right for him to return home and start a new, less violent life. The journey he sets out on, however, quickly evolves into something he never could have imagined as it takes him well beyond the place of his birth before finally teaching him the true meaning of the word "home." In the end, the choices made by these characters will impact everything about both themselves and the world they live in. This book is approximately 90,000 words long and is the first in a four-part series called The Kinmark Saga.
